Fishing time is a precious commodity and destination travel is a significant financial investment. So I will do my best to provide you with a well-planned and memorable adventure. As a travel host, I will provide you with written material and answer questions on everything from flies to flights. And the cost of a hosted trip is the same as booking directly with the lodge.
HOSTED TRIPS
Tail-Inn Lodge, Mexico Week of February 26, 2027 $5980
The Tail Inn is located 30 steps from the Caribbean sea in the quiet village of Punta Herrero, Mexico. Most fishing is done from new 24 foot pangas in Espiritu Santo Bay, which is one of the most diverse and prolific flats fisheries in Central America, and a five minute boat ride from the lodge. Bonefish, tarpon and permit are the primary targets and the guides give anglers a legitimate shot at a grand slam nearly every day. Barracuda, snook, jacks and triggerfish are also readily available. The Tail Inn is a relatively new lodge that was designed by fisherman for fisherman, and is run by a local family who take great pride in its operation.
Manatee Lodge, Belize March 2027* $1900
Manatee Lodge is located on an isolated lagoon on the central coast of Belize. Several rivers converge here and provide ideal conditions for tarpon to thrive. Excellent fly fishing for tarpon in the 20-60 pound class can be found minutes from the dock. Snook, jacks, snapper and barracuda are also available; along with abundant tropical bird life and many manatees. The trip includes 4 nights lodging and 3 days of guided fishing and can accommodate 5 people. But if folks wanted to stay longer and use the lodge as a basecamp for a few days of jungle hiking, birding, etc. that can be arranged. As can additional days of guided tarpon fishing.
*I will set an exact date for the trip when I hear back on availability of the guides – but it will be in earlyish March
